Welcome to our Grade 10 Marketing Competition!
The world population is projected to reach nearly 10 billion people by 2050. Farmers will need to work closely with other players in the agriculture industry to ensure that they can meet the needs of all these people in the future.
Did you know that marketing is an essential part of the agri-food industry? Whether it’s through television, newspaper or social media, farmers need to find ways to promote their products in order to sell them. That is what marketing agents do!
We hope that this project will allow you to develop marketable skills while exploring the basic principles of marketing, a career that plays an important role in the agri-food world.
Students will work in groups to create both a poster and 30-60 second video clip using the prompt "Agriculture is..."
Students will have access to mentor videos that help them develop employable skills, while building their knowledge base about agriculture.
The final products will be judged for prizes and then shared across the province in high schools and partner organizations.
